CLAAS Rollant 350 Roto Cut / 340 Round Baler

No matter what the conditions, CLAAS can supply you with the right machine for every operation and for all of your harvesting needs. With advanced, highly reliable technology, our systems guarantee optimum results under all conditions. The ROLLANT is the most efficient baler for gathering silage, straw and hay. Thanks to the secure binding, the bales hold their shape and are exceptionally easy to transport and store.

Pickup
Irregular and extra wide swaths are cleanly raked up by the 73" (ROLLANT 340) and 83" (ROLLANT 350RC) wide pick-up. The tine spacing on the heavy duty pick-up has been carefully selected for thorough clearance of short crops. Large stub augers on either side feed the crop at the intake edges to provide extra bale density specifically around the edges. This in turn improves bale stability to help withstand rough handling and avoid losing shape during transport or long storage periods.
Feeding System
The ROLLANT 340 is designed for farmers who want to compact hay, straw and silage into solid, transportable and storable round bales. The ROLLANT 340 has the tried and tested CLAAS feed rake behind the pick-up. The feed rake pulls the crop from the pick-up and feeds it actively into the baling chamber. Quality in every detail.

The ROTO CUT system runs at over 7000 chops per minute. Four banks of tines gather the crop in evenly. A special system of strippers keeps the rotor clean at all times. The exact angle to the feed tines effectively prevents crushing of the crop as it passes through.
Baling Chamber

Robust build, high reliability – and therefore high performance and bale density – are the outstanding characteristics of the CLAAS ROLLANT round baler. 16 extrastrength steel rollers, with profiled surfaces to promote product flow, not only compact the harvested crop to produce firm, dimensionally stable bales, but also ensure reliable rotation of bales even in very dry harvesting conditions. Choose ROLLANT technology for a safe harvest.

MPS – for rock hard bales. The steel roller baling chamber with the unique MPS system guarantees the hardest bales and high core compaction. At the start of every baling operation, the three MPS rollers reach into the baling chamber. As the chamber fills up, rollers are pressed upwards into their end position against the tensile resistance of strong springs by the growing bales. The smaller chamber size at the start gets the bale turning much sooner and compresses the bale from the core outwards. This Maximum Pressure System – MPS – is only available on the CLAAS ROLLANT 350/355

MPS - The new generation. Due to the bow-shaped layout of the rollers, the bales rotate inside the baling chamber with minimum force application. The new MPS achieves higher bale density with less tractor power, as well as perfectly round, highly compacted and storable bales.
Tying
Automatic tying - best results every time.
Twine or net – ROLLANT gives you the choice. The ROLLATEX net wrapping system saves precious time as bale tying is fully automated and only takes a matter of seconds. The fully adjustable net guidance system allows the net to be applied tightly along the entire width of the bale, and firmly binds the edges as well.

Variable number of turns. As different crops require different amounts of wrapping, you can set the number of turns over a wide range according to the task at hand.

Economy version. Twine wrapping is the classic method used by many farms. Twine is even cheaper than net. Up to 12 rolls of twine can be stored on the ROLLANT - enough wrapping material for a long working day.
Drives - Robust drives for heavy-duty, continuous operation without stress.
On the ROLLANT, all rollers are driven. This means that even in the driest harvesting conditions, baling will not stop. The highest quality, reinforced roller chains guarantee complete operational safety. Optimal chain tension is guaranteed by self-adjusting, spring-loaded chain adjusters.
Lubrication equals smoother running.
The drive chains are lubricated automatically. In addition to automatic chain adjustment, automatic lubrication contributes significantly to keeping wear and tear at a minimum. Use rapeseed oil for lubrication and protect the environment.
Operation
CLAAS Standard Terminal
A feature of the new CLAAS Standard Terminal is that you can operate the basic functions directly from the driver’s seat by speed button. Select the type of tying - net wrap or twine - and set the automatic tying start function to suit your requirements. You also have the option of initiating the tying operation manually, for example if swath is left over.
A mechanical bale counter on the baler keeps you informed at all times about the machine's output. 4 LEDs alert you to faults in the tying mechanism, enabling you to keep your ROLLANT running smoothly at all times.
ISOBUS
The entire baler can be controlled via the new ISOBUS module.
