Stake Pocket Wear Plates
Stake pocket wear plates are standard. The tie rod is positioned behind the bolster and is a 1-piece design that reduces the number of wear points that could change the toe-in and tracking.
Rear Hitch
4 bolt brake flanges are standard equipment. The brake flanges allow installation of optional hydraulic surge brakes.
L-Shaped Spindles & Thrust Bearings
L-shaped front spindles with structural bracing to withstand high stresses from shock loads. (Models 612, 614, 617)
Thrust bearings ensure dependable, smooth turning and straight trailing.
T-style Spindles
Models 622 utilize a t-style spindle assembly and use truck type steering because of the increased torque loads that result from the use of wide floatation or truck tires.
T-style spindles are not available on 612, 614 & 617 models.
Wishbone Design
The wishbone design of the tandem axle helps reduce mud build-up and clogging.
Tele-Pole
The Tele-pole is made of structural tubing and the mounting plates have side spacing between them to reduce the sway and increase the strength of the pole.
Full Contact Turn Stops
Full contact turn stops distribute the pressure exerted in tight dragging turns along the bolster face. This reduces the possibility of bunk damage or collapse.
A riser kit may be required for some models depending on tire size.

Square C-Section Reach Features
No rotating collars or moving parts to wear out. The square C-Section reach provides both strength and flexibility. Torsion flexibility without rotating collars.
Box Type Bolster Support
Model 617 includes a box type bolster support.
Support Braces - All Wear Protected
All H&S wagons utilize heavy duty full depth bolster support braces (hounds). King pin, hitch pin, spindles, tie rod ends and tie rod steering pivot point are all wear protected by replaceable oil impregnated steel bushings and are greaseable as well.
