Endless flexibility with equipment to suit your requirements. Whether on a tractor with front and rear linkage or a reverse drive cab, these large mowers will always do the job. The mower is made up of three units: the standard DISCO 3050 F or 3050 FC in the center, and two outer mowers measuring 10 ft (3.0 m) each.

	Take full control Mower combinations can be individually controlled so that an unused mowing unit can be lifted above a swath. All three units are suspended with coil springs to allow for a clean and consistent cut.
	Narrow transport width When you travel on the road, enjoy your automatic transport locks, a low transport height and raise/lower function without leaving the cab.
	Control terminal The control terminal enables you to select and perform the desired functions of the mower from the tractor cab, using the tractor controls, e.g. selecting a single unit to raise or lower.
	Collision protection A spring loaded claw type clutch provides effective break back protection for the outer mowers on the DISCO 8550. A proven system for heavy-duty use.
	Getting the most from the conveyor belt Do you want to work under optimum conditions and save on swathing? Or do you harvest in an area with high levels of rainfall? If so, then the new DISCO 8550 AS is the perfect choice for you. Whatever your local conditions, being able to lay 26.25 ft. (8.0 m) of conditioned material in a single swath will open up new possibilities.
	Maximum flexibility and functional safety Simple and convenient to operate from the cab via the CLAAS Control Terminal. In the interests of achieving high operational safety, the conveyor units are driven independently of the tractor by means of a separate hydraulic system. Ultra-wide continuous conveyors made from robust material and featuring plastic slats (for optimum conveyance) throughout. Secure crop feed thanks to lateral guide rails. Simple adjustment of the conveyor speeds according to the nature of the forage via a separate terminal. Swath width can be varied by repositioning the conveyor units. Cover between the conditioner and conveyor belt to ensure loss-free feeding of the mowed material.
